Center for Conflict Studies

University of Marburg

The Center is a central and interdisciplinary institution of the University of Marburg. In addition to various bachelor degree program modules, it offers a master degree program in Peace and Conflict Studies (mainly German taught) and an international joint degree master offered in collaboration with the University of Kent (Canterbury), United Kingdom. Research projects at the Center include the study of intergroup conflicts, major human rights violations and the manifold processes that bring and support the consolidation of peace, particularly international administration policies in post-war societies. Current scientific and political issues are actively debated at many forums organized by the Center, including a lecture series where guests, staff and students actively engage.
